The AMV 211 aircraft is conceived and created by Attila J. Melkuti, who is also the owner and President of AMV Aircraft. He founded AMV Aircraft in 1996 and proceeded to build the AMV 211 prototype which is internally funded.
AMV Aircraft company was formed to design and develop a state of the art SHORT OR VERTICAL TAKE OFF AND LANDING (S/VTOL) aircraft.
At this point, the company is at the flight testing stage of the proof of concept prototype. Once the concept is proven and fully tested, there are numerous potential applications for this aircraft.
The company plans to develop the AMV 211 kit. In this way, many a private aircraft enthusiast can build his or her own, and have the pleasure of taking off from their own back yard.
The company will also apply the technology and the knowledge learned from this prototype to develop 4 and 6 passenger cabin class S/VTOL AMV type aircrafts for business travelers. This concept will open up countless opportunities for the professional world: imagine the convenience of business to business travel, without the nuisance of the airport.
There are numerous applications to use this type of aircraft in the military branches as well as in the coastguard.
It can also be converted into an unmanned air vehicle (UAV) for combat and reconnaissance usage.
Attila Melkuti, as the owner and president of AMV Aircraft company, holds all of the proprietary rights to this technology and its patents. Several other patents are pending.
