Q.) How much space is needed to land the AMV-211?
A.) The AMV-211 is amazingly versatile and can land almost anywhere. The wing span is approximately 20’x 20’. It is suggested that a 40’x 40’ area is quite sufficient space to land the aircraft. Any commercial helicopter port would be an ideal landing location, as would most large open spaces.
Q.) How many people can fly in the AMV-211?
A.) The AMV is designed to safely carry one or two people, including the pilot. AMV Aircraft is currently in the process of design on a 4 seater and a 6 seater aircraft in addition to the AMV-211.
Q.) How does the AMV-211 stay controllable since it only has a single propeller?
A.) The AMV Aircraft is controlled by a system of control louvers and spoilers installed inside the duct, below the propeller. This allows for control by changing the center of thrust relative to the center of gravity.
Q.) What makes this aircraft unique?
A.) The AMV 211 makes a smooth transition from vertical take off to high speed horizontal flight just by tilting forward entirely, so there is no need for complex tilting mechanisms.
